So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists for being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.

My Medical Choice by Angelina Jolie
points worth noting:
- she was at an 87% risk of breast cancer (now at 5% after the double mastectomy)
- she successfully kept 3 months of medical procedures private
- her breasts are not ~gone~, she now has implants
- she did this so she could live longer and have more time with her family
- she decided to not keep it private on her own terms in order to bring more awareness to breast cancer
so yes, all those people spewing misogynistic, sexist responses are giant, flaming dicks. Jolie, other women suffering the same hard decisions, and the families and friends supporting them deserve a fucking standing ovation.
